Migrating PDFs to RefWorks

Migrating PDFs from EndNote to RefWorks
  • RefWorks does not have a tool for automatically finding and downloading full text copies of journal articles.
  • You will need to manually upload any PDFs you want to attach to a reference in RefWorks.
  • Individual PDFs can be uploaded individually using ‘add’ menu.
  • To upload a PDF folder you will need to use drag and drop.

Please email library@hud.ac.uk if you require support with migrating PDFs from your EndNote library.

Retaining EndNote group structures to organise references

Groups used in EndNote to organise references will not automatically be migrated or recreated in RefWorks.

If keeping the original groups used in EndNote is important (e.g. for a systematic review or large libraries for PhD research) then you can export each group separately from EndNote and import to RefWorks.
