We have lots of books and resources which are available in the library to help you study. 

Getting started with library research

Library Live sessions - view recordings and slides (where available) from all this year's Library online training sessions.

To help you to get started with your research at post-graduate level we offer sessions to your Schools in addition to the Induction materials on BrightSpace. Here are the PowerPoint slides for that session which you might find useful. It's called "Taking your research to the next level". Please note: These slides refer to a system called Summon, which has now been replaced with Library Search. The systems works in a similar way.

Dissertation guide

We have a dissertation survival guide aimed at final year UG and PGT students, but there is plenty of transferable content available for research students too. Use this guide as an overview of the process, and if you require further support in any of the areas, please arrange an appointment with a librarian.
