Library Services for Studying Online: Referencing

Referencing guides

The University approved referencing style for most subjects is APA 7th (please see your module handbook for exceptions). The official guide to this standard can be found on the Library website. The full guide has a large number of examples and explanatory notes. The website also contains a list of common source types, with automatic reference builder tools for most types.

Huddersfield APA referencing guide: An alphabetical list of source types, with explanations about how to reference them. Most include online reference builders. To use these, simply fill in the form with the details of the item that you are referencing, and the reference builder will create a reference that you can copy and paste into your work.
