The University has signed up to a number of open access agreements with publishers which give researchers a range of benefits and discounts on Article Processing Charges (APCs).
Sometimes called 'Read and Publish'; 'Transformative' or 'Transitional', the open access publishing costs in these agreements becomes part of an overall University of Huddersfield payment covering both subscriptions (Read) and open access publishing (Publish).

If your research is UKRI funded, and you are looking to publish in a journal that is not eligible under the agreements listed above then you may be eligible to apply for funding from the UKRI block grant, which is managed by the Research, Innovation and Knowledge Exchange (formerly Research and Enterprise) Team.
